impressive和impressing区别

一、意思不同

1、impressive意思：adj.令人赞叹的；令人敬佩的;

2、impressing意思：v.使钦佩；使敬仰；给…留下深刻的好印象；使意识到(重要性或严重性等)；使铭记；给…留下深刻印象

二、用法不同

1、impressive用法：用来修饰名词，表示人或事物的特征。

例句：His collection of paintings is the most impressive.

他的绘画收藏令人叹为观止。

2、impressing用法：常用作定语，也可作表语、补语或状语。

例句：Their honesty and hospitality leave an indelible impress on her life.

他们的诚实与好客给她一生留下了难以磨灭的印象。

三、侧重点不同

1、impressive侧重点：impressive可以用于人，也可以用于物，是这个物体使人怎么样，因而是主动。

2、impressing侧重点：impressing是这个人受到外界刺激的反应，因而是被动。
