to do和doing的区别

1、意思不同

to do：待办事项。

doing：所做的事，发生的事。

例句：They stop to smoke a cigarette.他们停下来，抽了根烟。

2、用法不同

to do：动词不定式，为非谓语动词。英语文法中的不定式是指不含词形的动词，因而不能表示人称、数量、时态。由于动词不受限制，不受词形的限制，因而被称为不定式。不定式是一种非谓式的动词。

doing：动名词，指的是动词ing形式的一种，兼有动词和名词特征的非限定动词。它可以支配宾语，也能被副词修饰。动名词有时态和语态的变化。英语中的动名词是由动词变化而来。

例句：The girls ceased chatting for a moment when their teacher passed by.姑娘们在老师走过时，停了会聊天。

3、侧重点不同

to do：侧重于表示想做但是还没做的事。

doing：侧重于表示正在做的事。

allow sb to do sth.允许做某事。

ask for sth.请求某物。

ask sb(not)to do sth.请求某人(不)做某事。

afford to do sth.有能力做某事。

agree to do sth.同意做某事。

be afraid of doing sth.害怕做某事。
