assist用法

assist是正式用语，它的原意是“与…站在一起”，现代英语中主要作“帮助，促进”解，指帮助者处于次要或从属的地位。assist用作及物动词时其后可跟简单宾语或以动词不定式充当补足语的复合宾语；assist也可用作不及物动词。assist在作及物动词或不及物动词时，后面均可加不定式或in和动名词，但是后者的表达方式比前者更加普遍。assist和help都有“帮助，协助”的意思，但是help较assist更通俗，口语中比较偏向用help。

例：The family decided to assist me with my chores.

家人决定分担我的琐事。

例：Our sales representatives can assist you in selecting suitable investments.
