watch的用法：

1、n.表；手表；（旧时的）怀表[C]

例句：

The best watch is Swiss.

最好的表是瑞士表。

Is the watch valuable?

这块表很值钱吗?

2、[sing.]注意；注视；监视；观察

例句：

The police put a watch on the suspect's house.

警方派人监视那个可疑人的住宅。

3、值班（人）；警戒（人）；守夜（人）[U,C]

例句：

In spite of the watch on the house,the thief escaped.
