instead和instead of的区别

两者的区别在于instead是副词，通常位于句尾，意思是代替；顶替；反而；却。instead of是复合介词，后面可接名词和代词以外的词，如形容词，副词，动词和介词，意思是代替；作为…的替换。这两个词的意思相同，但是在语句中的用法是不同的。

instead造句：
If you can't sign a cross instead。如果你不会签名画个十字来代替。
He didn't give John the money，but he gave it to me instead。他没有给约翰钱，而是给了我。
He is too busy，let me go instead。他太忙了，让我去吧。
instead of造句：
Won't you be hungry if you eat fruit instead of dinner？你用水果代替晚餐肚子不会饿吗？
He suggested doing some work instead of watching TV。他提议做些工作而不是看电视。
She went to school instead of staying at home。她没有呆在家里，而是去上学了。
